Adult Program

WIOA Adult Program

The Adult Program is designed to assist economically disadvantaged adults, 18 and older, who are underemployed or unemployed. Individuals who believe they may qualify are encouraged to apply for WIOA services. 

Upon acceptance into the Adult program an individual would be offered the opportunity of one-on-one job search assistance, development of an employment plan to identify goals, barriers, and services necessary to achieve employment goals, and case management. The Adult program is designed to help the unemployed develop work skills necessary to secure employment and to help the underemployed upgrade their current skill base. 

In addition, the Adult program provides the possibility of subsidized work experience opportunities, on-the-job training possibilities or educational retraining benefits when approval and funding permits. All avenues of employment are explored intensively before training services are considered.
